Reading: This week will be going back through Letterland and spending more time on each letter. This week will focus on letter e.
Sight words: and, went: Students will need to memorize these words as well as write them correctly! Sight words to practice: I, a, see, the, like, to, look, at, this, is, we, go, come, here, play, in, can, my, all, little.
Writing: Last week, we learned the difference between informational and opinion texts. Students wrote an informational text, and this week students will go back and edit and revise their writing. We will then begin to write a repetitive opinion texts, for example, an "I like book." Social Studies- During second quarter, students will be learning the difference between wants and needs.
Science- Students switch between the kindergarten teachers for science. On Friday's during first second quarter students will begin going to Mrs. Baildon's class to learn about scientific properties.
