Math: We have been working on identifying 2D shapes including the circle, square, hexagon, rectangle, and triangle. Students are describing the shapes using different characteristics such as lines, sides, and vertices. Students will compare the 2D shapes to one another. Math Vocabulary: 2D, lines, sides, vertices
Reading: This week we will finish learning about digrpahs. Digraphs are two letters that make one sound including: ck, ng, ch, sh, and th. Students will continue and collaborating on their 4C culture/Olympic project!
Sight words: will, am. Students will need to memorize these words as well as write them correctly! Sight words to practice: I, a, see, the, like, to, look, at, this, is, we, go, come, here, play, in, can, my, all, little, and, went, have, not, away, for, with, me.
Writing: Students will continue to write informational texts, including how to stories. Social Studies- During third quarter, we will study culture and compare how we are alike and different.
Science- Students switch between the kindergarten teachers for science. On Friday's during third quarter students will begin going to Ms. Morrison's class to learn about characteristics of animals!
