Math: Students are practicing solving addition and subtraction problems. We have learned 4 strategies to solve addition and subtraction story problems. These strategies include using fingers, using counters, drawing a picture, and using a number line.
Reading: We will read nonfiction and fiction books about planting seeds. Students will retell fiction stories and state the main idea an details in nonfiction texts. Sight words: who, has, one, day, if, want, do, they, will, am, with, you away, for, she, said, went, and, all, little, play, in, come, here,this, is, we, go, like, to, look, at, see, the, I, a. These are words that students should memorize and recognize within 3 seconds.
Writing: We continue informational writing, specifically writing "how to" texts about how to plant a garden.
Social Studies- This quarter, we will learn about culture and how we are similar and different from one another. We have studied different schools around the world.
